- Access follows your Siffer user. Lose access to a client in Siffer, and the AI tool loses it too.
- You log in with Siffer. Your password never reaches the AI tool.
How to connect
MCP address

- 2 Click Add and choose Add custom connector.
- 3 Enter Siffer as the name, paste the address and click Add.
- 4 Click Connect, log in to Siffer and click Allow access.
- 1 Open the ChatGPT app, go to Settings and choose Plugins.
- 2 Choose the MCPs tab.
- 3 Click Add and choose Add MCP server.
- 4 Enter Siffer as the name, paste the address and save.
- 5 Click Authenticate, log in to Siffer and click Allow access.
This guide is for the ChatGPT app for Mac and Windows. On chatgpt.com you add Siffer under Settings and Apps with Developer mode turned on. That requires Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu.

What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI tools to other systems. Siffer's MCP server gives your AI tool access to the accounts, with the same access as your Siffer user.
Which AI tools work?
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex. Other MCP clients work if they support OAuth login with Client ID Metadata Documents.
What does it cost?
MCP is included in Mikro, Standard and Pluss. You pay for the AI tool with its provider.
What does the AI do, and what do you do?
The AI gets everything ready. It assigns accounts, creates drafts, attaches documents, enters opening balances and creates contacts and subledger accounts. Reports include the drafts, so you see the figures right away. You approve in Siffer, and only then is the entry final, with a voucher number. Only users with the accountant role can make changes.
What can't it do yet?
It does not handle invoicing or payroll, and it cannot approve postings or make payments.
Where does the data go?
You decide. Siffer never sends anything to an AI provider on its own. Data from Siffer only goes to the AI tool you choose to connect, such as Claude from Anthropic or ChatGPT from OpenAI, and only when you ask. There it is processed under the terms of the provider you chose, so check that they fit your firm's data processing agreements and duty of confidentiality.
How long do I stay logged in?
Up to 30 days. After that you log in again with your Siffer user.
